🚀 Exam Structure & Marking Scheme (150 Total Marks)

Duration: 2.5 Hours | Marking Scheme: 1 mark for every correct answer. Negative marking details vary based on recent BPSC notifications (typically evaluated with minimal/no negative marking or standard fractions depending on the phase, check latest guidelines).

Part I - Language (Qualifying - 30 Marks): English (25 Questions) + Hindi / Urdu / Bangla (75 Questions). Total 100 questions for 100 marks, but only 30% marks (30 marks) are mandatory to qualify. No negative marking in language.

Descriptive Written Papers. Merit is compiled out of 1750 marks (excluding qualifying language papers).

Paper A & B (Qualifying - 300 Marks Each): Modern Indian Language (Paper A) & English (Paper B). Minimum 25% marks required in each to evaluate other papers.

Paper I - Essay (250 Marks): Candidates are required to write multiple essays on specific topics close to contemporary socio-economic, political, or philosophical realms.
